Enymba FC and Uyo based KMK FA announced their presence in the ongoing 7th edition of the Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Preseason Tournament with resounding five digits victory over their opponents.

While Enyimba Football Club defeated thier neighbours, NLO side Inter Aba FC 5-2, KMK gave no chance of response to Excellent FC in a 5-0 throuncing encounter at the Enyimba Stadium.

The new look Peoples Elephant raced into the lead as early as the first minute of the encounter when new kid in the block, Abraham Michael benefited from a high press to slot home his first for the Aba giants.

Former Edel FC winger, Nwaolise Onyebuchi pounced on a telegraphic cut back from overlaping full back, Joel Ezra to increase the lead as early as the 4th minute.

A rare lack luster defending however gifted Inter Aba a penalty at the 29th minute which was converted by Odinaka Ogbugbe to halve the deficiet, before attack monster, Abraham doubled his tally at the 33rd minute restoring Enyimba’s two goal lead.

The second stanza saw a triple half time substitution for the double CAF Champions league winnere as Aniebet Sunday, Bassey John and Williams Wonnah replaced Quadri Olusunkanmi, Abraham and Eze Chibuzo which yeiled immediate impact as Bassey got on the score sheet with his trade mark nodding off Joel’s pin point cross at the 61st minute while slicky Aniebet completed the five goal triill converting Basey’s cut back header in the 79th minute.

The NLO side were once again presented another chance to test Ogunka Kelvin in goal for Enyimba from 12 yards after a rash tackle inside the box as Chinweke Dick made it a respectable scoreline 5-2 in favour of The People’s Elephant.

In the first match of the day, the first set the tone for what was to come, with Utipime Sunday dominating possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities.

Their efforts paid off in the 6th minute when forward, Utipime Sunday, capitalized on a perfect cross from midfield and headed the ball into the back of the net, giving KMK an early lead.

Sunday Continued to terrorise the Excellent FC defence till the end of the game scoring four of the five goals with Igwe Friday slotting his name in the score sheet with 86th minute goal.
