Former Super Eagles defender and current Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association, Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi, has been invited as the Special Guest of Honor at the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 2025/2026 season draw.

The event is scheduled to take place on July 28, 2025, at the Wazobia Hall of the Abuja Continental Hotel.

The invitation, signed by Danlami Ibrahim, Secretary to the NPFL Board and Legal Adviser, highlights Iloenyosi’s contributions to football and national development.

The letter states that his presence will significantly enhance the prestige and purpose of the event, serving as inspiration to the football community and reinforcing the shared commitment to elevating professional football standards in Nigeria.

Chief Iloenyosi confirmed receipt of the invitation and expressed gratitude to the NPFL leadership led by Gbenga Elegbeleye for the honor.

He praised the league body for recognizing his contributions to football, stating that he is humbled by the invitation.

The NPFL AGM and season draw is a significant event in the Nigerian football calendar, bringing together stakeholders to discuss key issues and set the stage for the upcoming season.
