A total of 28 matches are slated for Day 2 of the tennis event at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Ogun State.

The action kicks off in the morning at the tennis courts of the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, where states will go head-to-head in preliminary rounds, all aiming for a spot in the knockout stage.

In some of the key early matchups, Uche Oparaoji of Bayelsa will face Imo’s Ezeh Tochukwu, while Taraba’s Rubi Toba squares off against Ekpeyong David of Bayelsa.

In the women’s draw, Jesutoyosi Adeusi of Ekiti has a tough test against the in-form Ogah Loveth of Nasarawa. Other fixtures include Etoro Bassey of Akwa Ibom versus Idowu Lagundoye of Ondo, and Abosede Bamideke of Lagos taking on Delta’s Otu Blessing.

The competition is set to intensify in the afternoon session, as morning winners return to battle for places in the next round of the tournament.
