The administrator of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, of Rivers State, Mr. Frederick Apiafi has felicitated with the Amayanabo of Opobo Kingdom, His royal Majesty, King Dandeson Douglas Jaja, Jeki, Treaty King, Natural ruler, on his 83rd birthday.

Mr. Apiafi expressed joy over the Amayanabo’s achievements since his enthronement as the king of Opobo kingdom, mostly in the area of peace, security and unity, saying that what brings development in any society is peace.

He further extolled King Dandison Douglas on his pragmatic approach towards achieving the desire peace Rivers people are yearning for.

Speaking at the thanksgiving service that held at St. Paul Anglican Church, Opobo on Sunday the Amayanabo of Opobo King Dandison Douglas Jaja, said that the town is on crossroad and there is no time for merry making and a befitting birthday celebration. He thank God for good health and long life.

” I thank God for what His done for me, most especially the stability he has given me and the good woman by my side who compliments me.

“I used this forum to thank all those that came to celebrate with me particularly Eze Gbakagbaka, even when I didn’t send formal invitation. As you came to celebrate with me you will not miss 83 years. This kingdom is known for praying ability and we should continue to pray”. He said.

While delivering the sermon from Proverbs 2:1 and Galatians 2: 17. Rev Godwin Bereweriso, the curate of the Church called on all Christians to see the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as symbol of peace, sacrifice and love.
