Enyimba FC’s young defensive sensation, Divine Ukadike, has issued a bold statement ahead of their President Federation Cup round of 32 clash against cup holders, Elkanemi Warriors.

With the crucial tie set for 4pm at the Bwari Stadium, Abuja, the left-footed ace insists that the Aba giants are in this year’s competition for one purpose only – to lift the coveted trophy.

Speaking exclusively to Enyimba Media, Ukadike revealed that the squad has put behind them their recent NPFL setback against Remo Stars in Ikene and is fully focused on the Federation Cup which provides another pathway to securing continental football next season.

“Enyimba is in this year’s Federation Cup for the trophy, and that’s why we treat every game as a final. We are ready for this round of 32 encounter against Elkanemi Warriors, and we won’t underestimate them,” Ukadike asserted with unwavering confidence.

Both NPFL powerhouses have already clashed twice this season, sharing identical home victories. However, cup competitions have a reputation for unpredictability, and this fixture promises to be a fiercely contested battle as Enyimba looks to dethrone the defending champions.

“The competition is another route to the continent, and we will give it our best shot. Every player selected to play is going to give 100% for the team’s victory tomorrow,” he added.

Enyimba’s ambition is not only reflected in their determination on the pitch but also in the professional structure supporting their journey.

The team arrived in Abuja Tuesday morning via their reliable partners, United Nigeria Airlines (UNA), underlining the strong partnership between the club and the reputable airline. The smooth and seamless airlift from Owerri to the Nations capital ensures the players are well-rested and ready for the high-stakes encounter.

Such collaborations with top-tier corporate partners like UNA further highlight Enyimba’s commitment to excellence, ensuring the squad enjoys the best possible preparation for their quest for silverware.

With their sights firmly set on the title, The People’s Elephant are poised for battle. The defending champions, Elkanemi Warriors, will undoubtedly put up a fight, but Enyimba is determined to make every moment count in their pursuit of glory.
