Six Journalists Kidnapped In Anambra Enroute Uyo Regain Freedom

Police in Anambra have reported that Six Journalists Kidnapped In Anambra enroute Uyo have been rescued.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga and made available to the media today in Awka.

“Joint security forces have successfully rescued six members of the media crew who were abducted while travelling from Lagos to Uyo along Isseke-Orlu Road in Ihiala”,

He said that operations are still ongoing for the possible rescue of the seventh crew member.

The journalists were on their way to Uyo to cover the Super Eagles Match slated for Friday, 11th October 2024.
