UNIZIK FM Set To Mark 2024 World Malaria Day

UNIZIK FM has put in place all necessary plans to celebrate this year’s World Malaria Day in grand style.

Disclosing this in an interview with newsmen, the Station Manager, Mrs Ify Obi said the World Malaria Day Summit which comes up Thursday, the 25th day of April, 2024 will hold at Prof. Stella Okunna Legacy Building by 10am.

This year’s event with the theme “Time to deliver zero malaria: invest, innovate, implement”, the World Health Organization will focus on the third “i” – implementation.

Prof Dennis Aribodor, Founder Malaria Eradication and Safe Health Initiative of Nigeria will be the keynote Speaker while Pharmacist Nonso Ndibe, State Director Role back Malaria will deliver a lecture on impact of Malaria on Children.

The Director UNIZIK FM, Prof Ifeoma Dunu will serve as Chief host with Head of Children’s Unit, Mrs Grace Okoli-Emmanuel as Facilitator.

The summit will feature among other things quiz competition on Malaria among pupils from different primary schools within Awka capital territory, lectures, games and other side attractions.

The Summit according to the Station Manager will be the first among many summits to be organised by the Station and targeted at impacting positively on the lives of children in Awka.

Mrs Obi therefore called on health enthusiasts to join in making the occasion grand
