Returning AFCON silver medal winning Enyimba Gaffer, Coach Finidi George has expressed optimism that his players will respond positively in their NPFL match day 21 encounter against Insurance FC in Benin.
Coach Finidi who rejoined the People’s Elephant alongside club captain, Olorunleke Ojo this week from a short break after their exploits at the AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire said the encounter is an important one and that he expects his players to respond after the 3SC win over the weekend.
“Eemh first and foremost, it’s been a long time away from Aba.
Talking about the game, it’s an important one and I expect my players to respond after the victory against 3SC, I expect good football not trying to do too much and not to lose the game’, Coach Finidi said.
Also speaking, fleet footed Ekwutoziam, agreed with his coach that the Benin battle will not be easy, but hoped that the table will turn in favour of the Elephants.
“Yeah, we know it’s not going to be an easy one, we know the stuff they are made of, a hard not to crack but it’s all about the People’s Elephant.
“We are here in Benin for the maximum three points, nothing is going to separate us from the maximum points that’s the main reason why we are in Benin.
“We are going to come out to give them a good fight, they are not a push over team and we are the defending champions, every game it’s all about the defence, we are coming out for the three points”, Emwutoziam noted.
