By Chuks Collins

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has declared that it will shock and embarrass Gov Chukwuma Soludo and his political co-travellers with a devastating defeat in Anambra State and all over Nigeria on January 16,2027.

This rattling disclosure was dropped at the formal inauguration of the Anambra State 2027 Campaign you the NDC at the King David Hotel, Awka by the Co-ordinator, and former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Ifeanyi Ibezi.

He noted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be woefully disappointed if they are banking on rigging or any form of malpractice.

Ibezi disclosed that NDC was committed to an open, fair and credible election, hence would frustrate any form of untoward act by the APC or any other paid agent, group or person.

On the increasing popularity/national acceptance of NDC’s presidential flagbearer -HE Mr Peter Obi, the Campaign Coordinator declared that the party’s presidential candidate, and his running mate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, have already secured above seventy percent (70%) of the Nigerian voters ahead of the January 16,2027 poll.

He also projected that Obi would secure a very comfortable lead of between One and half million to two million votes in Anambra State. That it would shock the state governor and those he’s been marketing for.

He likened Obi’s growing popularity to that of the late nationalist and first President of Nigeria, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, and former Premier of Eastern Nigeria, Dr Michael Okpara.

The NDC chieftain pointed out that the former Anambra State governor’s socioeconomic philosophy was resonating with Nigerians across different age groups, gender, social class and geographical zones which makes his followership electric nationwide.

He expressed happiness that’s Obi and Sen Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s political appeal had transcended regional, religious and ethnic boundaries, giving the NDC a strong electoral advantage and support base ahead the January 16, 2027 presidential election.

Ibezi expressed confidence that Anambra, which he described as “a strong democratic state”, would deliver overwhelming support for the NDC, adding that the party was poised to take over the state from those who described themselves as progressives.

Ibezi said the NDC was determined to win elections across the state and deliver its candidates from the presidential to the legislative and other elective positions nationwide.

The party’s Anambra State Chairman and former principal officer of the NDC, Hon. Ikem Uzoezie, who performed the formal inauguration of the State’s Campaign Council, charged them to kickstart a unique rudimentary and aggressive door to door mobilisation and sensitization of voters so as to ensure the victory of all NDC candidates in the coming January 16 2027 general election.
