Enyimba Chairman, FIFA Ambassador Kanu Nwankwo, on Wednesday motivated players of Abia Angels Football Club with words of encouragement ahead of their training session.
Kanu was on ground during the People’s Elephant final training session ahead of their NPFL Matchday 12 fixture, where he took time to address the Abia Angels girls.
The Arsenal legend urged the players to believe in themselves and embrace discipline, noting that both qualities are key to achieving their goals and rising higher in their careers.

The players, inspired by the visit, recalled the iconic “Papilo, I know say you go make us proud” moment and pledged to make Abia Angels proud in the upcoming season.
Head coach Judith Benson expressed appreciation to the Enyimba Chairman for his kind words and encouragement to the team.
Kanu also gave the team a token for breakfast, urging them to stay fit and strong for the challenges ahead. Abia Angels qualified for the NWFL Super Six last season and will be aiming to go one better this term under new coach Judith Benson.
The Enyimba Chairman has consistently supported young talents, often drawing from his own formative years to emphasize how discipline can take players far, while also making generous donations to aid their career growth.
