The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Idemili Federal Constituency, Dr Kingsley Ezekwelu has rounded off his six week “thank-you” tour of the Federal Constituency yesterday, assuring the people that he will run an open administration when elected.
The policy, he noted was to bring a positive paradigm shift from the distateful pattern they had been seeing.
Rounding off activities at Ojoto, his home community in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, the young politician literally turned pastor and an evangelist as he burst into sonorous praise/and worship songs after another.
He passed all his political campaign messages through his the evangelism.
The teeming enthusiastic home crowd were literally off their seats acknowledging and cheering heartily to his admonishing soul lifting messages.
He interspersed it with songs and energetic theatrics.
The event which held at a primary school field, attracted party leaders, political stakeholders, traditional leaders, youths, various women dance troupes and and groups and supporters. They all expressed confidence in Ezekwelu’s candidacy ahead of the forthcoming election.

Chief Obidigbo(Idemili South) commended Ezekwelu for fulfilling his earlier promise to return to appreciate the people for seeing him successfully through in the party primaries.
Chief Charles Obadike (Idemili North)described the gesture as a demonstration of the Reps candidate’s humility and commitment to the people.
The Coordinator of the Uche Ekwunife Campaign Organisation in the area, Rev. Uche Ibeabuchi, described the candidate’s campaign journey from Alor, in the beginning, to Ojoto at end as symbolic of his aspiration to emerge victorious at the polls.
Ibeabuchi disclosed that he had also aspired to contest for the position but decided to step down for Ezekwelu after assessing the political equation and indices.
He therefore called on the people of the Federal Constituency to mobilise support for the candidate and ensure a strong and victorious showing at the polls.
Similarly, the APC candidate for the State House of Assembly, Hon. Vincent Obi, urged the people of Ojoto to take ownership of the campaign by mobilising their households, other voters to troop out to vote and also protect their votes at their respective polling units, come Jan 16,2027.
Dame Princess Esom Nwafor-Orizu, conveyed a message of support/solidarity for Ezekwelu’s aspiration, expressing confidence in his political prospects.

In his remarks, a party chieftain, Chief Joseph.C. Okeke, expressed optimism about the candidate’s chances, noting that traditional leaders, youths and other stakeholders had shown interest in the campaign.
Okeke also called on voters to look beyond ethnic and regional considerations in their political choices, pointing to the growing presence of APC in Anambra State.
Responding, Ezekwelu thanked the people of Idemili for their support and the impressive turnout at the campaign finale.
He pledged to provide accessible, responsive and people-oriented representation if elected, assuring constituents that he would remain close to them and work diligently to address their concerns.
“Send me, and I will be accessible, close to you, hardworking and smart. Give me your vote, and I will wipe your tears,” he said, promising to reciprocate the confidence reposed in him.
Earlier, the campaign train stopped over at Umuoji, Idemili North Council Area where he was overwhelmingly endorsed by the community leaders, the collective women groups, social, economic and traditional leaders. They expressed support for Dr Ezekwelu (KK), the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate.
The women, who turned out in large numbers for the event, began the gathering with prayers for him, describing Ezekwelu as a vibrant, energetic and intelligent young man capable of providing effective representation and attracting development to the constituency.
They commended him for what they described as his commitment to fulfilling promises, noting that his visit to Umuoji was to express appreciation to the people following his victory in the party’s primaries rather than to campaign.
According to them, “This is the first time a politician promised something and fulfilled it,” the women said.
The Umuoji Ward 1 Chairperson, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Odoba, urged the people to support the candidate at the polls, describing him as a suitable candidate for good governance and development.
Also a political leader in Idemili, Chief Obi Onwuachu, expressed optimism that Ezekwelu’s emergence would help address the challenges facing the people.
Onwuachu urged the women to mobilise voters and protect their votes on election day. He also assured them that the candidate intended to prioritise youth employment, adding that the people of Umuoji would have no cause for regret if he was elected.
The APC Chief Secretary, Sir Obi Okpala, called on the people to vote for the party’s candidates across all elective positions, saying such support would promote development in the area.
The campaign finale marked the culmination of weeks of political mobilisation tour across the 22 wards of Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, as the APC candidate and his supporters expressed optimism about the outcome of the election.
