Members of the Enyimba Supporters Club have declared support for the management led by FIFA Ambassador Kanu Nwankwo and charged the team to secure victory against Inter Lagos on Sunday.
The supporters, renowned for their passionate followership of Nigeria’s most decorated club, turned out in large numbers at the club’s training session ahead of their first home game of the season. They thrilled players and officials with solidarity songs and pledged loyalty to the chairman, the management and the technical crew.
According to the group, their unwavering support over the decades remains intact, expressing confidence that the team will bounce back with a win.
Chairman Kanu Nwankwo appreciated the supporters for their show of solidarity and assured them of his continued support.
Speaking on behalf of the players, Sopuruchi Dimgba thanked the supporters for their encouragement and promised that the team would make them proud.
Enyimba, nicknamed the People’s Elephant, will host Inter Lagos on Sunday by 4 p.m. at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, in their first home fixture of the season.
