Doma United Football Club has departed Gombe for Enugu to participate in the 8th Edition of the Ifeanyi Ekwueme TICO/SELECT Preseason Tournament.
This is part of their preparations for the forthcoming 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season expected to kick off this month
According to the club’s media release, the contingent, comprising players, technical crew and club officials, left in high spirits with a strong resolve to use the prestigious preseason competition to enhance team cohesion, assess new signings and sharpen tactical strategies ahead of the new campaign.
The Ifeanyi Ekwueme TICO/SELECT Preseason Tournament remains one of Nigeria’s most competitive preseason events, bringing together top clubs nationwide to test their readiness ahead of the league season.
Speaking prior to departure, newly appointed Technical Adviser, Coach Deji Ajeni, expressed confidence in the squad urging the players to remain disciplined, focused and committed while proudly representing Doma United Football Club.
The tournament will provide valuable match experience and enable the coaching crew to evaluate the team’s overall performance as the Savannah Tigers continue their build-up to the 2026/2027 NPFL season.
