The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) members have been commended very warmly for speaking loudly with one voice with their massive support to Hon Dozie Nwankwo (Onyendozi) in the just concluded Senatorial primary in Anambra State.
Nwankwo, an experienced 2-time House of Representatives is set for the coming 2027 Senatorial election for Anambra Central zone on the platform of APGA.
According to records, Nwankwo polled the highest number of votes in the state, during the just concluded primary election, defeating all other contestants.
The candidate in excitement sent word of intense commendation to the party leadership, Gov Chukwuma Soludo, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa led national executive, Barrister Ifeatu Obiokoye and his Anambra State executive team.
He also commended all members of his political family/caucus and supporters all over the State, particularly in the Central senatorial zone.
While expressing immense happiness for their support in the primary election, he solicited their stronger commitment for the bigger task ahead in the main poll scheduled for early next year, 2027 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
He also charged all his support groups to gird their loins firmly to ensure that ultimate victory was attained in the main election next January.
Nwankwo, popularly called “Onyendozi” appealed to the party leadership, members, Youths and Women groups (cutting across party lines) to maintain their full political backing to him to stand firm, “because I know, appreciate and commend your stoic support and backing for me all these years.
It’s not easy…”, Nwankwo dropped in an interview yesterday.
Dr Chukwuma Agubata, the Chief Convener of the Youths/Women Alliance for Good Governance reiterated that the group remains non-partisan. He noted it was reason they keep pulling membership from within all political and non-political divides in support of any candidate that impresses them.
Taking a stock of Onyendozi’s programs and achievements so far, including his regular annual free medical outreaches, scholarships schemes, widowhood support schemes, back-to-school equipment, exercise books, teaching/learning aids, as well as sports aids, the group saw him as a man divinely sent by the Almighty God to rescue, redeem and strengthen the senatorial zone and State from any form of contemporary societal decadence.
Agubata disclosed that “Hon Dozie Nwankwo has remained very outstanding as their representative in the state with a verifiable landmark achievements.
He pointed out the annual Dozie Nwankwo skills acquisition/equipment including seed money for initial take off and stability has remained a benchmark that nations, Federal, States, Local Governments, Groups and individuals have continued to understudy and copy it.
According to him, Nwankwo’s brain visibly hardly sleeps or rests.
He always thinks and worry about how to improve the lot of the citizens. And it shows in the nature of democracy dividends he unveils every now and then.
Unlike any other, he attracted the Federal College of Agriculture, and its Enugwu-ukwu campus simultaneously. It has since kickoff been graduating well equipped students ever since.
He built a state-of-the art fully equipped five hundred units computer laboratory named “Hon Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo ICT Centre” near the Njikoka Council Secretariat at Enugwu-ukwu. Thousands of students and ICT technicians have been graduating from there and establishing their private labs and workshops where they have become valuable employers of labour all over the country.
Throwing more light on the achievements and focus of this go-getter called Dozie Nwankwo, a community leader in Abagana, Chief Okey Nwude noted that he’s motivated to go to the Senate to enable him follow up on other life transforming bills and programs he had initiated and submitted but were left midway when he left the Green Chamber.
He therefore solicits the full voting support of Anambra Central electorates to ensure he wins in landslide to enable him transform the senatorial zone.
It’s clear that it is people of Nwankwo’s ilk that have made Anambra Central senatorial zone the most developed and cynosure of all eyes in the State.
He sponsored skills acquisition centers for committed youths and the young at heart in order to lift the Senatorial constituency. At the skill acquisition centers they learn welding, auto repairs, barbing/hair dressing.
He’s considering restructuring/expanding the scope to include more hand works that appeals to our contemporary society’s lifestyle like phone repairs/accessories; computer repairs/servicing, closed circuit television (CCTV)installation.
Others include basket-making, tailoring/fashion designing.
Another support group under the aegis of “Onye Ndozi Forum” told journalists that after their a painstaking assessment of all Senatorial candidates in the zone, only Hon Dozie Nwankwo clearly stood out as a great thinker. He recently sent some youth overseas on a learning program.
They described him as one who has a well articulated blueprint that captures all needs of the constituents. That a cursory look at the Federal College of Agriculture, the ICT and Communication Center, the commuter buses, the Keke tricycle/okada, etc really show he carries the citizens along always.
To ensure an easy ride to victory at the poll, the Forum therefore urge electorates to get very actively involved by registering and securing their Permanent Voters Cards now.
Dr Agubata reiterated that “Hon Dozie Nwankwo remains outstanding as the representative in the state with verifiable landmark achievements for the citizens.
Throwing more light on the achievements and focus of Hon Nwankwo, Chief Martin Dike from Enugwu-ukwu in Njikoka Council area, stated that the constituents motivated and encouraged him to go to the Senate to enable him use the opportunity and leverage of the office to lift the citizens out of poverty and hardship.
He therefore solicits full support of the electorates in the Anambra Central senatorial zone at the forthcoming general election to enable him record a landslide victory.
APGA governors have repeatedly given Anambra a front seat leadership position over the years. So, with Hon Dozie Nwankwo in the Red Chamber of our NASS, the party was set to consolidate her presence at the NASS to give other States’ representatives where to learn from.
Therefore, let Anambra Central electorates take the bold step forward to massively cast their votes for APGA, for Dozie Nwankwo, for Onyendozi!
