President Bola Tinubu this afternoon swept the stakes in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in key Council areas of Anambra State monitored by our correspondence.
It was the same scenario in Anambra Central senatorial zone for the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) where Chief Dozie Nwankwo defeated Chief Jerry Ugokwe to emerge victorious in a landslide fashion.
APC stakeholders had an early morning meeting chaired by Senator Uche Ekwunife who is incharge of Presidential election activities in the state.
It was from the meeting they left for their wards for the presidential primary.
Ekwunife stressed that Anambra must show that it’s indeed an APC enclave.
Chief Sylvester Okonkwo, a top aide of the Senate President and member of the South East Development Commission charged members to vote massively for President Tinubu and other candidates of the party as committed party men and women.
All the wards in Awka, Ogidi, Ideani, Abatete, Njikoka and Enugwu-ukwu voted overwhelmingly for Tinubu.
The president defeated Chief Osifo who ran side by side with him.
Also, Dozie Nwankwo floored his competitor – Ambassador Jerry Ugokwe in Awka, Ogidi, Ideani, Abatete, Njikoka and Enugwu-ukwu.
Nwankwo from all indication hopes to trounce other parties in the main election.
