Dr. Augustine Azubuike Ekwezor has declared his bid for the House of Representatives seat for Awka North and South Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
Dr Ekwezor made the declaration during an interactive session with members of Anambra Patriot in Awka.
He said his decision was driven by a desire to serve with integrity, inclusiveness, and purposeful leadership, not personal ambition.
The APGA aspirant said the constituency has been held back by weak representation. “The person currently representing Awka North and South has no capacity to deliver,” he stated.
He outlined a 4-point agenda for a single four-year term: *Agriculture, Security, Robust Housing, and Infrastructure*. Ekwezor pledged to remain accessible to constituents and pointed to his track record of building houses and empowering youths with buses as evidence of his commitment to grassroots development.
“I have been supportive to the people. With my contacts, I will represent my people well,” he said, appealing to voters on the basis of credibility, fairness, and accountability.
Ekwezor also commended _Anambra Patriot_ for its stance on accountability and pledged to build a befitting office for the group.
Chairman Damian Elekwechi said the platform promotes good governance and accountability, while Works Commissioner Engr. Okey, who convened the event, said its goal is to ensure politicians and local officials keep their promises.
