Nigeria Football Federation President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, is backing Super Eagles coach Eric Sekou Chelle, saying the team is on the path to success after their AFCON bronze medal win.

This will go a long way to water down the speculations that the Tunisian FA could be head-hunting Super Eagles’ manager, Eric Sekou Chelle

The Nigeria Football Federation has through the President indicated clear intentions to hold tenaciously to the Malian tactician.

“The team played with zest, patriotic fervour, resilience, and character,” Gusau said, praising Chelle’s work.

He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government for their support, saying Nigeria has “turned the corner” after World Cup qualification failures.

“The NFF will continue to encourage, support, and motivate the team,” he added.
