Enyimba FC Sporting Director, Mr Ifeanyi Ekwueme, has given the players a ₦300,000 cash reward after their 2–1 win against Enugu Rangers in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The win marks an important turnaround for the People’s Elephant, who had been battling a string of poor results in recent weeks. Ekwueme said the cash reward was meant to motivate the team and encourage them to maintain the winning momentum.
“This is just to motivate the boys,” Ekwueme said. “We want to keep pushing for better results, and I believe encouragement like this will inspire the team to do even more.”
He also urged the players not to relent, reminding them that consistent hard work is key as the season progresses.
Ekwueme went further to praise the leadership of Enyimba chairman, Kanu Nwankwo, commending him for his continuous support and commitment to the club.
“The chairman, Kanu Nwankwo, has been exceptional. His support for the team has been constant, and we appreciate his leadership,” he noted.
The Sporting Director also called on Enyimba fans to rally behind the team, stressing the importance of strong fan support during this period.
“We need our supporters now more than ever. Their encouragement goes a long way in lifting the team,” he added.
The morale in the camp has been significantly boosted as Enyimba look to build on the vital win and push for better results in the NPFL.
