Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has expressed confidence in his reelection bid and vowed to address what he perceives as the influence of religious leaders in politics after the November 8, 2025, governorship election.

According to reports, Soludo stated that he doesn’t need the support of the Catholic Church or any other denomination to win the election, citing his past victories as evidence. He urged his campaign team to focus on grassroots mobilization and highlight his administration’s achievements.

Soludo’s comments suggest he plans to promote a separation between religion and politics in governance expressing his implicit confidence in a clean sweep of the stakes at the polls.

He encouraged religious leaders to focus on their spiritual roles as he has concluded arrangements on how to rout fake religious leaders the way he did the notorious ritual money/miracle money making of Onye-Eze Jesus, Akwa-okuko and Eke-Heat category.

The governor reportedly lambasted some named clerics like Rev Fr Emmanuel Obinma, aka Ebube Muonso and Bishops he wasn’t confident enough to name, for allowing some other Governorship candidates the opportunity to speak about their Governorship intentions in their churches.

Apparently fearing the likely backlash that could come from such a move, Soludo roared, ‘I don’t need the Roman Catholic Church to win election.

”After all some of the Catholic Bishops with Father Ebube Muonso all supported Val Ozigbo in 2021 and I still won them clearly.

“So i do not need or seek the support of the Roman Catholic Church or any other denomination but only the support of Ndi Anambra to win the November 8th Guber Election.

According to him, “Unlike some of the other party candidates who are going from one Bishop and church denomination to the other seeking for endorsements and Support as if those Church leaders determine the outcome of the elections, I will defeat all of them.

And after I finish dealing with the fake Ndi Okeite Dibia deceiving our youths with fake promises and miracle money, soon after my reelection, I will face those Fake Pastors, Rev Fathers/Men Of God around the Uke, Nnobi and other parts of the state who use church, fake prophesies, and fake miracles to extort money from Ndi Anambra and deceive our youths as they are no different from those Okeite Dibias.

” Our state needs to be cleansed and sanitized from those false prophets and priests.”

Soludo charged his campaign council to focus on the electorates in the Grassroots who he said knows that the Bishops and the General Overseers(GOs) are using them for extorting politicians.

He told them to campaign with his works across the state which he says are enough to speak for him and give him a well deserved reelection.

It is time, he noted, “that the Bishops and Church leaders are boldly told and made to leave politics for politicians and face their pulpits and job of saving souls for Christ.”

The top aide admitted that he felt scandalized about this statement by Soludo as he was involved in mobilizing the church hierarchy in 2021 for Soludo’s election therefore felt very bad for the way he has been treating the church hierarchy since mounting the saddle of leadership in the State.
