Professor Promise Chika Oparah, PhD, has been appointed as the President of the Association of Marketing Academic Professionals (AMAP).

The organisation is the highest body of scholars and intellectuals in marketing education in Nigeria.

Prof. Oparah is a Professor of Strategic Marketing at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Deputy Director 1 of UNIZIK Centre for Capital Market Studies and Coordinator of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Prof Oparah has held multiple administrative posts within Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, such as Head of Department of Marketing and Deputy Director 1 of UNIZIK Business School.

He is also one of the few Nigerians quoted in AFRICA WHO’S WHO United Nations Sustainable Development Goals with special bias for Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Prof. Oparah as the President of the Association of Marketing Academic Professionals is expected to strengthen the role of AMAP as the authoritative scholarly voice for marketing education in Nigeria with a clear mandate to review, propose and advocate for robust Marketing Curricular in universities, colleges of education and polytechnics.
