Anambra 2025: Ojoto Community Reaffirms Support For Ukachukwu

The Ezekwelu family of Enugo Ojoto, the headquarters of Idemili South Council area of Anambra state Sunday donated two branded campaign vehicles to the Anambra State Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the coming Nov 8,2025 election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.

The handover excercise climaxed an explosive reception for the APC by the Ojoto Community, the country home of his Chief of Staff, Dr Kingsley Ezekwelu.

The entire community literally exploded into songs, music and dancing as Ukachukwu’s campaign train arrived.

Men, women and the youth of the whole thirteen constituting villages of Ojoto community and the adjoining communities of Oba, Ichi, Umuoji, Uke and Ideani who had converged in anticipation of the governorship flagbearer’s arrival heartily praised God Almighty while drumming and dancing in appreciation for the visitor and his aspiration.

They chanted solidarity songs describing him as the people’s “Emancipator” who is coming to rescue the state from the doldrums of daily killings, kidnappings and uncertainty.

They sang enthusiastically and overwhelmed the candidate and his campaign train.

The frenzy could only be compared to the electioneering campaign spectacle of days of yore.

In his brief but impressive remarks Dr Ezekwelu introduced Ukachukwu as his dear boss in whom he saw the qualities needed to rescue Anambra from the present catastrophic misrule that has become the poster signature of the state in the last three years and six months of the current APGA administration.

He described Ukachukwu as an experienced legislator and a multi talented outstanding successful investor cum businessman.

According to him, Ukachukwu was a former member of the House of Representatives for the Abuja Capital Territory, a business man, a real estate guru and a man filled with milk of kindness, who has very many good plans for the people of the state.

As he formally presented him to the gathering, he got a thunderous standing ovation.

He used the opportunity to announce the donation of two Siena vehicles and other campaign materials by the Ezekwelu family of in appreciation of Ukachukwu’s love for the people and in aid of his campaigns efforts.

Pointing out that his word is always his bond, Ukachukwu said, “I will tell you what I can do. That which I can’t do, I won’t tell you. Those others aspiring to rule and those already in the saddle, please ask them what they have done for you”?, Ukachukwu asked rhetorically.

” I schooled at the Dennis Memorial Grammar School,DMGS, Onitsha, he went on, those days when drinking water was everywhere in public taps.Taps in the streets gushed out clean sparkling water and the pressure always snatches away the cup except you hold it with both hands.

“But these days, you can’t even find flood water to purify with alum. And as it is in Onitsha, so it is in all the 179 communities in the entire state.

That is certainly not a measure of good governance”, he said.

In Security of lives and property Anambra is zero despite huge cash regularly deducted monthly as security fund from the State’s coffers, adding that instead of prioritizing security of lives and property as the primary objective of any government.

Consequently the spectacle of the free reign of non state actors kidnapping and killing people for ransom and maiming others for the fun of it.

In addition unleashing of pestle wielding gang of cold-hearted hooligans on the people to beat them up and break their legs and arms in order to extract tax and other sundry levies willy nilly.

Ukachukwu noted that the state never had it so bad before now. Moreso that the taxation was multiple and debilitating,” he said.

“Now, I tell you that we have come to fix Anambra state and reclaim our state from non state actors and hoodlums.

“We shall if you gave us your mandate ensure that security of lives and property of every Nigerian living in this state is guaranteed. It will be security number one, two and three because when we achieve it every other thing will fall in place.

“We shall provide you with solid road infrastructure starting with the road running from Nnewi to Ichi to Oba to this community within three months of our coming into office, with your support.

“We shall reduce the tax burden of our people and business men so that their businesses can grow and ensure that the Akaodo tax collectors are no where to be seen because they are a disservice to our people.

Besides, he said his administration will ensure steady power supply for both domestic consumption and industries , by building a power plant at Omasi in Ayamelum council area of the state to utilize the large deposits of natural gas there.

The administration when elected he also said he will embark on agric revolution that will enrich the people through its value chain in the same way the health and education sectors. commerce ,

youth empowerment and employment and welfare for every one of all ages would get priority attention .

“Remember, they have said they will share money as they did during the August 16, by- election. When they bring it take it because it your money but vote them out at the polls and have life.

“That is why we are soliciting your support to fix Anambra for the good of everyone. We are all involved “, he said.

He promised Ndi Oba to positively look into case of their son and brother, a popular native doctor Chidozie Nwangwu known as Akwa Okukuo Tiwara Aki who has been in detention since February on allegations of promoting get- rich quick practices and preparing charms for criminals.

Ukachukwu assured of converting the Omasi Ayamelum Council area’s natural gas deposit to benefit all Anambra citizens reducing electricity tariff and selling gas at low rates to low- income earners, ensuring diverse representation in governance, including natives and non- natives, supporting farmers with loan and protection to promote food security and others
