It was a tearful atmosphere, but laced with thanksgiving to the Almighty God for a life of love and service to humanity as the Agbata family of Umuonaga village, Awka, Anambra State, bid final farewell to late Chief Kenneth Osita Agbata, fondly known Chinyelugo at his country home.

It was a moment of sober reflection as friends, family members, political associates, and well-wishers gathered as his remains was interred.

The Agbata family, visibly grief-stricken, described their late brother as a man of rare character- kindhearted, hardworking, generous and peace-loving.

On behalf of the family, his brothers, Alex Chinwuko and Chief Peter Chinwuko respectively eulogized him, recalling his humility and dedication to family and community values.

“Our brother tried his best to live, but the cold hands of death snatched him away from us,” they lamented.

“We specially appreciate his wife, who stood by him during his trying moments. We pray that the soul of Chinyelugo finds eternal peace in the bosom of the Lord.”

In solidarity and appreciation, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate for the forthcoming Nov 8, 2025 Anambra State election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu,(Ikukuoma ) who attended the burial to commiserate with the family urged them to take solace in the good life Kenneth lived and the legacy he left behind.

He said, “Your brother was part of us, and his wife’s steadfastness, and deep devotion reflects the goodness of the husband.

“We are here in solidarity and oneness with your family at this moment of grief.”

He described life as a journey that every man travel; one whose end leads to a place called eternity.

“Life is not about how long we live but how well we live, Chinyelugo lived a meaningful life, one of impact, friendship, and faith. He touched lives and left behind memories that will forever inspire those who knew him. That, indeed, is what matters most.”

The APC Governorship candidate, known for his compassion and deep Christian values, encouraged the bereaved family to find solace in the hope of eternal life, reminding them that true comfort comes from God alone. He prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and for divine strength upon the family, especially his wife, Mrs. Ngozi Agbata, who is a prominent member of the Sustenance of Faith in Governance (SOFIG), one of the apex support groups advancing his candidacy.

According to him, “what defines us is not how far we go but how faithfully we walk.

“Chinyelugo walked faithfully, with purpose and devotion. My prayer is that God will grant this family peace and courage to carry on.”

Touched by his presence and comforting words, the family represented by Alex Chinwuko commended Ukachukwu’s compassion and prayed for his success in the coming November 8, 2025, governorship election the State.

He noted that, “your visit at this time of our grief speaks volumes about your heart, we are comforted by your presence and kind words of hope. May God grant your heart’s desire to serve the people of Anambra as governor, and may He continue to bless you with wisdom and strength.”
