Enyimba Football Club has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, for his unwavering support and generous gesture following their thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over Bendel Insurance FC during their NPFL MatchDay5 encounter at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.
The message of appreciation is contained in a statement signed by the management and made available to the media on Monday, 22 September, 2025
The governor’s presence at the match was electrifying, and his words of encouragement significantly lifted the team’s spirits, spurring them to stage one of the most memorable comebacks of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Enyimba in claiming the victory over Bendel Insurance FC showed determination and resilience as after conceding an early goal staged a remarkable comeback to win 3-2, showcasing their fighting spirit and teamwork
The club is particularly grateful for the governor’s remarkable N30 million gesture, with N10 million awarded for each goal scored. This gesture is expected to serve as a significant morale booster for the team.
Enyimba FC’s management has assured the governor that the team will not relent in their quest to bring glory to Abia State and their esteemed fans this season.
