The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Carol Arinze-Umobi, has extended her congratulations to Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke on her appointment as the Substantive Registrar of the institution.
Prof. Arinze-Umobi extended her heartfelt wishes to Dr. Okeke during a meeting in her office on Monday, August 18, 2025 to mark the beginning of her five-year journey as the Registrar of the university.
Prof. Arinze-Umobi assured Dr. Okeke of her cooperation and commitment to working together as a team to drive the progress of the institution and improve the welfare of students and staff.
As a renowned academic and legal scholar, Prof. Arinze-Umobi’s gesture underscores the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration among its staff.
Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke yesterday, Monday August 18th officially began her journey of a five-year term as the new Registrar of Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
The Acting Registrar Mr Victor Modebelu handed over to the new Registrar in a brief ceremony that took place in the Registrar’s Office.
In her brief remarks, the new Registrar while calling for team work assured colleagues and staff of commitment to building a thriving university.
She also promised to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the university while recognizing the importance of the registry department in facilitating the academic and administrative functions of the institution.
Dr Okeke pledged to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in her work.
Her appointment was announced on Friday by Barrister Olugbenga Kukoyi, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University’s Governing Council, during the 18th Emergency Meeting of the Council.
