Communities in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, have expressed their interest to return Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim in the November 8 governorship election and endorsed the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Senatorial candidate, Dr. Emma Nwachukwu for the August 16, 2025 bye-election for the Anambra South Senatorial Seat.
Speaking at the event, which was held at St Martins Primary School, Odoata, Ihiala, the state’s governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, commended the people of Ihiala for organising a peaceful rally.
The Governor, who was represented at the event by his deputy, Dr Ibezim, said his coming to Ihiala was a call to announce to the people that peace and unity have been brought back to Ihiala, promising to bring more developments to the area.
The Managing Director, Anambra State Civic and Social Reformation Office, Sir Chuka Nnabuife, disclosed that Ubuluisizor is ready to deliver the re-election of Governor Soludo with his deputy, and the election of the APGA Senatorial Candidate.
Nnabuife described the present administration as the the government of the people, saying: “As we have always done in the current dispensation, Ubuluisizor and the entire communities in Ihiala had never lost an election in APGA. Same way, we will deliver like never before.”
According to Nnabuife, the rally was a complete proof of watertight security in the area, adding that the rumours of insecurity in Ihiala are false.
He also expressed commitment to the Solution Agenda, declaring that Ihiala will not be sentimental and will cast all votes in support of APGA and the working Governor of Anambra State.
He urged every prospective office seeker to join APGA as APGA remains the only vehicle for the betterment of Ihiala.
The chairman of Ihiala LGA, Engr. Anayochukwu Orjiakor, commended Governor Soludo’s work in Ihiala, saying: ” The people of Ihiala can now sleep with their eyes closed.”
“A good party brought a capable governor. Let’s appreciate our governor with our votes in the coming elections and show Anambra State that Ihiala decides who will be the governor and we are giving the mandate and assurance that we will deliver,” he said.
The Member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Paschal Agbodike distributed palliatives to members of the constituency, including Sienna buses for the 11 communities, motorcycles, sewing and grinding machines to selected women, among other items.
In attendance were party members, traditional rulers, elected officials, senior party figures, including APGA National Chairman, Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Somtochukwu Nkemakonam Udeze, Member representing Ihiala 1 Consituncy, Hon. Jude Ngobiri, Member representing Ihiala 2 Consituncy, Hon. Golden Chukwuebuka Iloh, among others.
