The 7th edition of the Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico Select preseason tournament has reached its climax, with Rangers International FC and Enyimba FC emerging as finalists.

The highly anticipated final match is scheduled to take place on Sunday August 10 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

In the semifinals, Rangers International FC secured a convincing 3-1 win over the tournament’s revelation, KMK FA. The match saw Kehinde Adekunle score for KMK in the 8th minute, but Ugwuoke Ugochukwu twenty minutes later restored parity for Rangers.

Substitute Izunna Alex played a crucial role, scoring the second goal in the 42nd minute and assisting Wisdom’s goal in the 76th minute.

Meanwhile, Enyimba FC dominated Inter Aba FC, thanks to an early lead from John Bassey Edidiong who assisted the first goal, found the net for the second goal to seal the win.

The stage is set for an electrifying final match between two Nigerian football powerhouses. Both teams will aim to showcase their skills and claim the preseason title. Football fans in Enugu and beyond are eagerly anticipating this thrilling encounter.
