The Enugu State Government has pledged its support for the 7th edition of the Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico Select Pre-Season Tournament, underscoring its commitment to sports development and talent nurturing in the state.

Enugu state Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Barr. Lloyd Ekweremadu, made the commitment when he met with the tournament’s CEO, Ifeanyi Ekwueme.

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of the tournament in promoting healthy competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship among participating teams.

During the meeting, ex-International Ifeanyi Ekwueme presented the tournament’s paraphernalia to Barr. Ekweremadu, symbolizing the partnership between the tournament organizers and the state government.

This backing is expected to enhance the tournament’s success, providing a platform for players of participating teams to showcase their skills and potentially get noticed by national teams.

The tournament has become a significant event, attracting teams from across the nation. With the government’s support, the 7th edition promises to be exciting and competitive, promoting sports excellence and unity.
