In a heart touching show of empathy and leadership, the leading governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu (Ikukuoma Ndigbo), today visited the scene of the recent tragic accident at Amichi town.
The devastating incident, which claimed lives, left several people injured, and destroyed properties, has thrown the entire community into deep mourning.
During his visit, Ikukuoma personally commiserated with the bereaved families, consoling them and assuring them that their pain will not be ignored.
Addressing the grieving community, he expressed profound sorrow over the incident and prayed for the souls of the departed. He equally prayed for the quick recovery of those battling injuries.
Demonstrating his commitment to humanity and his people, Ikukuoma made a generous donation to victims who sustained various degrees of injuries to help offset their medical bills.
This compassionate gesture brought tears of relief to many families struggling with the aftermath of the tragedy.
More importantly, Prince Ukachukwu announced a bold and futuristic plan to prevent such occurrences in the future.
He promised that upon becoming the governor of Anambra State in 2025, one of his first infrastructural projects will be the construction of a modern flyover at the Amichi town center, the very spot where the accident occurred.
This, he said, would not only decongest traffic but also enhance the safety of road users in the area.
“No family should ever go through such avoidable pain again. I stand here not just to sympathize, but to assure you that a better, safer Anambra is possible. With your support, we shall make it happen,” Ikukuoma declared.
The people of Amichi, deeply moved by his words and actions, expressed their gratitude and reaffirmed their unwavering support for his candidacy. Community leaders lauded him for not just making promises but backing them up with immediate action that alleviates suffering.
