Highstone Global University, Texas, on Saturday hosted a Convocation and international research conference in Lagos, Nigeria, in collaboration with NIPEM Professional Education Management International.
The event took place at the Lagos state University of Education, Ijanikin Lagos state and it brought together scholars, professionals, and entrepreneurs to discuss innovative approaches to education and development. The conference also featured the convocation of doctorate degree students
Prof. Maurice Azubuike Odiete, President of NIPEM International, emphasized the organization’s commitment to providing high-quality education with international standards. He highlighted NIPEM’s well-organized curriculum, flexible learning options, and focus on entrepreneurial and professional skills development.

In his speech, Highstone Global University, Texas African Vice Chancellor, Amb. Prof. Valentine Iheukwumere emphasized the institution’s holistic approach to education, designed to shape well-rounded individuals with knowledge, skills, character, and ethical values.
He noted that the university’s programs focus on practical experiences, social responsibility, and diversity and inclusion, aiming to produce exceptional leaders who drive positive change in the global landscape. Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of Highstone Global University, Texas, Prof. Ugah Theophilus Aku, highlighted the potential of the digital renaissance to transform Africa’s education and economy. In a lecture on “The Digital Renaissance: Reimagining Education and Economy in Africa,” Prof. Aku emphasized the opportunities and challenges of the digital age, noting that Africa is poised to leapfrog traditional industrialization and forge its own path to prosperity.
