According to the league’s boss who recently got a tenure renewal, the second tenure presents an opportunity to consolidate progress and attract private sector investment.
“We needed to do reforms, package the league into something Nigerians would be proud of, and then take it to the private sector to attract them”,
“With the league now valued at over N1 billion, the stage is set for aggressive marketing and partnerships with corporate bodies”, he said
He informed that the board has reached out to marketing consultants, tasking them with driving revenue growth.
He thanked the media for their support, acknowledging that football thrives on media events as CAF and FIFA don’t toy with the media.
He explained that the ultimate goal is to create a sustainable league where players, coaches, and referees are well-compensated.
“When the private sector puts money into the system, we’ll have a better league. With a clear vision for consolidation and growth, we are poised to take the league to new heights”, he stated.
