The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command has pledged to enhance its partnership with the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) to boost security around custodial facilities in the state
The NSCDC Anambra State Commandant, Mr Maku Olatunde, received the Controller of Corrections Anambra State Command, CCS Ike Anselm, on a courtesy visit at the State Command Headquarters in Awka on June 26.
According to Press Release signed by the Head, Media and Tactical Operations, Mr Edwin Okadigbo, the visit was aimed to strengthen the working relationship between the two agencies.
During the meeting, the NCoS Controller emphasized the importance of collaboration in preventing crime and expressed his commitment to working closely with the NSCDC. Commandant Olatunde assured the NCoS of the NSCDC’s readiness to strengthen their existing synergy.
The NSCDC Commandant pledged the command’s commitment to collaborate with the Correctional Service to ensure the safety and security of all custodial facilities throughout Anambra State. This partnership is expected to enhance internal security and prevent potential breaches.
The warm reception given to the NCoS Controller and his team by the NSCDC highlights the growing partnership between the two agencies. Both organizations are committed to protecting lives and property in Anambra State.
