The Administrator of Opobo Nkoro Local Government Area, Senibo Frederick Apiafi, has indicated interest in engaging members of the National Youth Service Corps, deployed to the area, in the different committees that his administration plans to set up for a seamless Local Government administration.
Senibo Apiafi, who gave the indication in Opobo town , recently when he met with the Corps members, said that they are critical stakeholders in the development of the area, urging them never to relent in contributing their quota for the development of the area.
The administrator who called upon the Corps members to bring in their experience and knowledge in whatever committees they may be deployed to serve in, however, warned them not to be partisan.
Senibo Apiafi reiterated that engaging the Corps members is seen as a kind of partnership by the council, for which the council will give them stipends to augment whatever they may be getting, encouraging them to learn to exhibit punctuality at all times.
Corps members deployed to serve in the different communities of the Local Government Area were present at the meeting.
