Golden Bees FC has emerged victorious in the inaugural Jagaban Sabon Gari Unity Cup, defeating Zuma FC 3-1 in the final at Aminu L.E.A. Football Field in Sabon Gari, Zaria. The tournament, featuring 16 teams from the area, aimed to promote unity and youth engagement through football.

The final match drew a large crowd, with Golden Bees FC dominating the game from the start. Both teams received gold medals, with Golden Bees FC lifting the championship trophy and receiving a ₦100,000 cash reward.

Honourable Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, who donated the cash reward, commended the players for their sportsmanship and encouraged continued efforts to develop grassroots football talent. “This tournament is about unity, building opportunities, and creating a platform for our youths,” he said.

The tournament’s success has sparked hopes of it becoming an annual event to support community development and youth empowerment in Sabon Gari and beyond.
