The Super Falcons of Nigeria proved their mettle in a thrilling international friendly match against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses, winning 2-0 at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta.

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade was the star of the show, scoring both goals for the Nigerian team.

The first goal came in the 28th minute, with Ajibade converting a penalty kick with precision and skill. Just 15 minutes later, she struck again, capitalizing on a swift team move assisted by Rinsola Babajide.

The Super Falcons’ dominance on the field was evident, and the Lionesses struggled to find a way through their opponents’ defense.

The victory is a significant psychological boost for the Super Falcons as they continue preparations for the 13th Women AFCON, scheduled to take place in Morocco from July 5th to 26th.

Coach Justine Madugu’s team will be aiming for a record 10th triumph in the competition, having previously won the trophy nine times.

With this win, the Super Falcons are likely to enter the AFCON with confidence and momentum.

Their next challenge will be to maintain this form and bring home the coveted trophy. The team’s performance in the friendly match has certainly set high expectations for their upcoming campaign.
