It’s very cheering to acknowledge the numerous heartwarming reactions already generated by the recent formal presentation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Anambra State Governorship flag for the fast approaching November 8,2025 election to the candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu (Ikukuoma) by His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
It really goes without saying that the choice of a consummate politician like Prince Ukachukwu as the flagbearer of APC is very commendable.
The reactions generated so far are indeed reassuring that the party and her members made very good decision in electing him at the primary.
Ikukuoma is a name that opens political doors. It opens business, religious and social doors nationwide all seasons, day and night, etc.
As true democrats, we indeed warmly welcome the open discomfort his emergence and collection of flag has been generating within political families of other parties.
Why not?
Ikukuoma has over the years stood out as an outstanding shinning example in every human endeavors he has delved into.
The excitement that the handover of the party’s flag to him has been generating was enough strong indication of his public acceptance, popularity and political sagacity.
It’s understandable that other participating candidates and political parties in the November 8,2025 poll were forced into rushed tactical meetings.
They were reported now back to the drawing board for new and heightened strategies and brainstorming sessions.
This was with a view to ensuring they are not completely swallowed up and swept off by the “Ikukuoma” tsunami which literally interpretes as ‘wind of glory’.
President Tinubu had during the brief but colourful ceremony expressed high optimism in APC winning Anambra vide Ikukuoma. That it would gladden his heart beyond measure.
Consequently he charged the flagbearer in concert with his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife and the party as a whole to work together to achieve that.
Ukachukwu, a seasoned political gadfly was the pioneer chairman of the Federal Capital Territory and House of Representatives member who represented the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in 1999 etc.
He parades a very rich political resume.
His candidature has actually opened a floodgate of new entrants into the party both at the State and National levels.
Because of him, APC has been described as the largest party in Nigeria today.
Let’s all join the moving train!
