…Honors Her Dedication To Women Football

African Coaches Connect (ACC) has showered heartfelt tributes on Coach Judith Chime, a celebrated figure in women’s football, as she marks her birthday today, May 20.

In a moving statement, the organization praised Chime’s enduring generosity, exceptional service, and unwavering commitment to empowering women in football across Nigeria and the African continent.

ACC described Coach Chime’s recent benevolent gesture towards Nigerian women’s football players and coaches as a powerful reaffirmation of her love for the game and her passion for nurturing talent. The group lauded her for consistently uplifting others, both on and off the pitch.

“Judith Chime’s selflessness and dedication to women’s football are truly inspiring. She’s a role model for many young girls and women in the sport,” said Coach Patrick Ngwaogu “Odogwu”, ACC’s Nigerian National Coordinator.

Born on May 20, 1978, Coach Judith Chime has built an impressive legacy as both a player and a mentor. A former goalkeeper for the Nigerian women’s national team, she represented the country at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, showcasing her talent on the global stage. During her collegiate years at Clayton State University in the United States, Chime made her mark in the record books — earning All-Peach Belt Conference honors every year and setting records in shutouts and save percentage.

Beyond her exploits on the field, she is now the CEO of KC Sport Marketing Management Ltd., where she continues to influence the world of sports through leadership in training coordination, opposition scouting, and game analysis. Chime also holds a degree in Healthcare Management from Clayton State University, further underscoring her dynamic approach to life and leadership.

To honor her outstanding service to the game and her impactful contributions to the football community, ACC has awarded Judith Chime Life Membership and named her an ACC Ambassador.

“Judith Chime’s contributions to women’s football are invaluable. We’re honored to recognize her commitment and generosity with this award,” said Coach Eldred Sunju-Abbey, Founder and President of African Coaches Connect.

In a further show of appreciation, the organization also announced that Coach Chime has been nominated for one of its prestigious personal awards, to be presented during the ACConvention Awards Night in Casablanca, Morocco, in December 2025.

Judith Chime’s influence in Nigerian football is felt far beyond the technical area. Her charitable gestures and encouragement have brought light and hope to many aspiring female footballers. Her recent outreach to players and coaches has garnered praise throughout the Nigerian football community and beyond.

“She has always been a pillar of support,” said Coach Ngwaogu. “This recognition is not just about her past, but about the bright future she continues to create for women in sports.”

As tributes poured in on her birthday, players, coaches, and fans alike celebrated Coach Judith Chime not just for her achievements, but for her heart — a heart that beats for the growth of women’s football in Nigeria and across Africa.

“Happy birthday, Coach Judith Chime. Thank you for being a shining example of love, hope, and unwavering support for our sport,” ACC concluded in its birthday message.

With this recognition and the promise of continued partnership from African Coaches Connect, Coach Judith Chime’s journey remains a powerful source of inspiration — reminding the world that football is not just a game, but a platform for unity, empowerment, and transformation.
