Enyimba Feeders started off their Nationwide League One (NLO) campaign on a high note, thanks to a spectacular 72-minute strike from Ignatius Chidubem.

The young player’s goal helped Enyimba Feeders secure a 1-0 win against City Stars FC in an intense matchday one encounter.

The atmosphere at the Oisa stadium in Okpala was buzzing with excitement as the two teams took to the field for their first NLO match of the season. With both teams determined to secure a win, the match fulfilled it’s promise of a thrilling encounter

From the first whistle, Enyimba Feeders showed their intent as they took control of the game. The players demonstrated their skills and tactics, moving the ball effortlessly across the field and creating several scoring opportunities. City Stars FC, on the other hand, put up a strong defense, making it difficult for Enyimba to find the back of the net.

As the match progressed, the tension on the field continued to build. It seemed like the game was heading towards a goalless draw, but then came the moment that changed everything. In the 72nd minute, Chidubem received a well-timed pass from his teammate after City Stars defense line failed to clear the ball properly and expertly struck the ball, sending it soaring into the net.

The goal was not only a moment of joy for the team but also a testament to Chidubem’s determination and talent. His 72-minute wonder strike was a display of skill, precision, and strength, leaving the City Stars FC goalkeeper with no chance of saving it.

The remaining minutes of the game saw Enyimba Feeders defending their lead fiercely, determined to secure their first win of the season. City Stars FC tried to mount a comeback, but the Enyimba defense and their young goalkeeper Matthew Eze stood strong, denying them any chances to equalize.

The final whistle blew, and Enyimba Feeders emerged victorious with a 1-0 win against City Stars FC. The team’s hard work and dedication paid off, and they secured all three points in their first NLO match of the season.

Enyimba Feeders’ coach, Kingjoe Akuma, praised Chidubem’s crucial goal and the team’s overall performance, saying, “We knew it was going to be a tough game, but the players showed great character and determination. Chidubem’s goal was a moment of brilliance, and I am proud of the team’s performance.”

The win against City Stars FC has set the tone for Enyimba Feeders’ NLO season. The team will be looking to build on this victory and continue their winning streak in the upcoming matches.

The NLO is a highly competitive league that serves as a breeding ground for young talent in Nigerian football. Enyimba Feeders’ victory against City Stars FC is not only a positive start to their season, but it also puts them on the radar of bigger clubs in the country.

CHIDUBEM’s 72-minute strike was the highlight of Enyimba Feeders’ 1-0 win against City Stars FC in their NLO matchday one encounter. The team’s performance and determination have set the tone for a successful season ahead. Fans and football enthusiasts can expect more exciting matches from Enyimba Feeders in the NLO as they continue to showcase their talent and passion for the game.

The Young Elephants will face off against young and entertaining Right2Win FA of Umuahia who defeated Buberio FC 4-0 on Friday by 8:00am.
