NAUTH New Board Chairman Dalori, Promises More Projects, Conducts Familiarization Tour Of Hospital

The New Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, NAUTH Board Chairman, Hon Ali Bukar Dalori has pledged to attract more developmental projects to the hospital and also ensure speedy completion of ongoing projects.

He made the promise yesterday during a familiarization tour of NAUTH facilities to catch sight of the progress of the facilities and as well assess some challenges the facilities may face.

Dalori after inspecting the level of transformation NAUTH has undergone from the temporary site to the permanent site under the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Joseph Ugboaja vowed to contribute his own quota to the development of NAUTH and lobby for more projects to the hospital.

Moreover, Dalori and his entourage visited 2000 bed capacity facility, 120 bed Trauma Center and Surgical Emergency Unit, 120 bed Medical Emergency unit incorporating the ICU and Renal Center,200 bed Surgery Ward Complex incorporating 5 theater suites,200 bed Medical Ward incorporating private wards, 120 Mother and Child Center with 4 theater suites, Modern Delivery Suites,50 bed SCBU and 4 private delivery rooms,200 seat capacity ICT Center, Muti Billion Naira Regional Radio-Diagnostic Center and other key areas of NAUTH.

Dalori said he was impressed with the massive transformation of NAUTH’s permanent site under the CMD’s watch for a short space of three years

He described the Chief Medical Director of NAUTH,Prof.Joseph Ugboaja OON as a hardworking man who has proven in all angles to be a result oriented person.

He affirmatively said, with Prof Ugboaja, the hospital would be the best hospital in Nigeria.

The CMD,Prof. Ugboaja while addressing the Newsmen on the occasion of the Chairman’s maiden visit to the hospital, said their motive was to build a medical megacity to reduce medical tourism abroad.

Ugboaja said they remained lucky to have a man like Hon.Dalori to be their Chairman saying that they would rely on his goodwill, administrative experience over the years and on his political reach to attract more funding and projects to the hospital.

Moreso, Hon.Dalori and his entourage led by the CMD,Prof.Ugboaja paid a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of Oraifite,His Royal Highness Igwe Daniel Udoji ,Obi of Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Igwe Udoji warmly received them and prayed for the actualization of NAUTH’S vision which is to rank among the best hospitals in Nigeria and ultimately become the best.
