Two goals in each half sums up a comprehensive team display for Anambra Club, Solution FC as they thrashed Madiba FC by 4 goals to one in one of the match day 8 fixtures of the Nigeria National League (NNL) 2024/25 season.
Solution FC extended their unbeaten run to five matches with an emphatic win at the Awka City Stadium on Saturday, 1st February, 2025 as hitherto Coach Emmanuel Deutcsh led technical crew made just two changes to the side that faced Abakaliki FC a week ago with Godwin Okoyeatu and skilful Charles Egbe getting the nod ahead of Goodluck Okpodi and on-loan Ambrose Ndubuisi Ogundahunsola who is out of the side temporary owing to personal matters.
The Solution Boys first attempt at goal in the third minute of the match came through Valentine Ugwu who beat the offside trap to poke his effort from a tight angle into the bottom left corner of the post beyond the Oshodi Boys’ goalkeeper, Tijani Mohammed, off a pass from the middle of the pack.
The lead was shortlived lasting just six minutes as Ndubuisi Anthony with a good technic restored parity for the Oshodi Boys off a quick counter attacking play as Solution FC central defensive duo of Chizoba Amaefula and Solomon Akpan were caught off guard.
Unmarked Solomon Akpan had his headed effort inches above the upright from a corner kick in the 27th minute of the game in what should have been the third goal for his team, however, Charles Egbe made amends in the 37th minute with a simple tap-in assisted by Godwin Okoyeatu off Romanus Chinonso’s delightful ball into the 18-yard box.
Four minutes after the restart, Godwin Okoyeatu made no mistake converting from Valentine Ugwu’s pass inside the box as the Oshodi Boys’ defense switched off. Five minutes from time, substitute Tochukwu Ozuruonye put an icing on the cake with the fourth for his team assisted by Chukwuemeka Oyieke who also joined the fray the in the second half.
Solution FC will next face ABS FC come Saturday, 8th February 2025 in one of the match day 9 fixtures scheduled for the Ilorin Township Stadium, Kwara State.
