.… Acting VC, Prof. Ikechebelu Commissions Remodeled Faculty Car Park

Prof. Kenneth Udeh Ekwealor of the Department of Botany has been elected as the new Dean of the Faculty of Biosciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Prof. Ekwealor polled a total of 100 votes out of the 149 votes cast to defeat his opponent, Prof. Samuel Onuorah of the Department of Microbiology, who polled a total of 48 votes.
The election which was chaired by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph I. Ikechebelu, was conducted by the Acting Registrar, Mr. Victor Muodebelu, who was represented by the Deputy Registrar I (Exams), Dr. Blessing Ezeafulukwe.
Before the election, the Ag. VC, Prof. Ikechebelu commissioned a remodeled car park at the Faculty Administrative Building and unveiled an 18-seater bus for the Faculty which were projects executed under the leadership of the outgoing Dean, Prof. Anayo Igwilo.
Present during the elections were the Special Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor (SAVC) on General Projects and Director, Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy, Prof. Austin Nonyelu; Special Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor (SAVC) on Academic Matters, Prof. Ada Sam-Omenyi; Director of Academic Planning, Prof. Angela Ufele-Obiesie and former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Frederick J.C. Odibo.
