The Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has been described as a true democrat who has continued to unleash democracy dividend to citizens, and has now entrenched democracy at the grassroots with the Council elections.
Addressing journalists at his Enuagu Ward polling centre, Enugwu-ukwu in Njikoka Council area of Anambra State Saturday after casting his ballot in the Council election paid glowing tribute to the governor for his giant development and democratic strides all over the State.
According to Nwankwo, “am an All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)member; our people, the citizens of Anambra State are happy with our dear Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
” With this election, he has proved that he is a true and committed democrat. He has shown his respect for the citizens and the nation’s Constitution.
“He’s a solution provider. All over the State you can see that the Council election is peaceful all over the whole 21 Councils of the State.
As you all saw here, just as reports indicated from parts of the State, everyone voted their choice of candidate.
” APGA is the party to beat, because we are the party on ground.
“With the conclusion of council election it will enhance cohesion and focus. We will continue to support him for more services to the citizens.
Council election is a clear message that democracy is firm in the grassroots.
Nwankwo who was in the Green chambers of the National Assembly for the Njikoka, Anaocha and Dunukofia Federal Constituency also appealed to citizens of Nigeria to exercise some more patience with the Federal Government and the State.
Hear him, ” I urge the people to work harder for the economy to improve. It’s a collective role.
“It’s our prayers for the duty bearers to succeed in turning around the economy.
” Let’s pray for God’s guidance, strength and more positive initiatives”, he added.
