The Aba giants, Enyimba FC have progressed into the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after beating their Burkinabe counterparts Etoile Filante 3-2 on penalty lotteries.

Enyimba began the qualification journey with a barren draw in the first leg with the second preliminary round tie ending 0-0 on aggregate.

The People’s Elephant converted three of their spot kicks, while Etoile Filante scored only two.

The Aba giants are the only Nigerian club left on the continent this season.

The draw for the group stage will hold in Cairo next month.
