African Coaches Connect has joined millions of Nigerians in mourning one of their members, coach Christian Obi who died yesterday in a ghastly accident involving Heartland FC.

In a condolence message titled ‘Kicking Off to Eternity: Coach Christian Obi’s Legacy Lives On’, the ACC family described late Obi as an exceptional former Nigerian International whose legacy will continue to inspire others.

The message read:

Kicking Off to Eternity: Coach Christian Obi’s Legacy Lives On

The ACC family is deeply saddened by the tragic news of Coach Christian Obi’s passing in a vehicle accident involving Heartland FC yesterday.

Our hearts go out to the entire Nigerian football community, particularly the players, staff, and management of Heartland FC, as well as the Imo State Government.

We mourn the loss of an exceptional former Nigerian International, safe hands, coach, mentor, and ACC compliance champion.

Our sincerest condolences go to Coach Obi’s family, friends, and the entire Heartland FC family. May GOD provide strength and comfort during this incredibly challenging time.

May Coach Obi’s legacy continue to inspire us, and his memory live on in our hearts.

Rest in peace, Coach Christian Obi. Your indelible mark on Nigerian football will never be forgotten.
