The official dedication of the Allied Building Materials International Market, Nteje was historic as the traders from the Eight Market unions that formed the allied market came out in their numbers to thank God for the amazing works He has done for them.
Preaching the sermon at the event, the Divisional Commander of the Salvation Army, Anambra West Division, Major John, whose message centred on “God’s Approval” stated that all they need to prosper in the new market is God’s Approval, pointing out that the presence of God is the light that will draw customers to the market.
Major Okpalaihedi noted that the foundation of the market is known to God, and declared that from the Allied Building Materials International Market, Nteje, God will bless Nteje, Anambra State and Nigeria.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade and Markets, Barr Evarist Ubah congratulated the traders for taking a bold step to site their market in a more convenient area and charged them to move into their shops by 31st August, 2024.
Also speaking, the ASMATA President, Chief Humphrey Anuna commended the unity of purpose of the various unions that led them to their success story.
In a remark, the President General, Allied Building Materials International Market, Nteje Hon. Ignatius Ejike commended the leadership and members of the eight Market Unions that comprise Allied Building Materials International Market, Nteje for their commitment that brought them to their promised land.
According to Hon. Ejike, the market unions are Iron Dealers, God’s Favour Building Materials, Trinity/Unity Iron Dealers, and Pipe Dealers Unions.
Others are Premier Lock-up Stores, Tank Dealers, Combined Building Materials, and P.V.C. Pipe Dealers Unions all currently trading along Uga Street, Port Harcourt Road and Atani Road, now to relocate to their Permanent site at Nteje.
Contributing, the Secretary General of the Allied Building Materials International Market, Nteje Nze Vitus Ihezulu and the Dedication Planning Committee Chairman, Envoy Sam Oguji paid tributes to the founding fathers, patrons and trustees of the various unions, such as Chief Nnaemeka Onuzulike, Chief Ignatius Agbalizu, and Sir Mark Ezepue, among others for their unity of purpose since 2014 when they bought the land and now that the market is being dedicated, urging all members to relocate as directed by the state government.
While expressing their willingness to move into their new site, some of the stakeholders including the BOT Member, Chief Nnaemeka Onuzulike, Prince Francis Igweani, and Hon. Patrick Ebolue expressed joy that their prayers have been answered.
