Coal City Int’l Cup LOC Unveil Enyimba Sporting Director, Ekwueme As Member

In a move to strengthen the organization of the upcoming Coal City Int’l Cup, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the tournament has unveiled Ifeanyi Ekwueme, Sporting Director of Enyimba International FC, as a member of the LOC.

Ekwueme, a former Nigerian international, brings a wealth of experience to the LOC, having played and worked as a seasoned football administrator at various levels of the game. His workaholic nature and dedication to football development made him a natural choice for the role.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the Chairman of the LOC, Mr Ifeanyi Ogbu praised Ekwueme’s achievements and expressed confidence in his ability to contribute to the success of the tournament.

“We are delighted to have Ifeanyi Ekwueme on board,” he said. “His experience and expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the smooth execution of the Coal City Int’l Cup which will take place at the iconic Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.”

The tournament, which promises to be an exciting display of football talent, will feature teams from Brazil, Kenya, and other African countries, alongside top Nigerian teams.

Ekwueme, who was visibly excited about the appointment, promised to work tirelessly to ensure the tournament’s success.

“I am honored to be part of this team. I will bring my expertise and experience to bear, to ensure that the Tournament is a huge success and a memorable experience for all participants and spectators at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium”, he said

The Tournament is scheduled to take place in Enugu, and is expected to attract a large followers of football  from across the country and beyond. With Ekwueme on board, fans can expect a well-organized and thrilling tournament.
