Leadership is all about giving succour and impacting in the life of others. This is exactly what the leadership of Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Oyo State Chapter under the able leadership of Coach Akinola Olatunji and his able excos who offered a financial assistance to support female coaches who will be taking part in the forthcoming CAF C Course in Abuja to have a smooth ride in the programme .
It would be recalled that the Association launched Operation “No License, No Practice” recently in the state where critical stakeholders were present to wage war against unregistered members who use different nomenclature that has no place in the Association statues nor recognized at the National level to deceive innocent members of the public . The programme witnessed over 1,400 members across the 33 local government areas in the state.
The Chairman, Coach Akinola while speaking with newsmen in Ibadan, Oyo State capital on Saturday disclosed that the financial aid given to the female coaches going for CAF C programme in Abuja became imperative in view of the present economic challenges stressing that capacity building is part of the Association’s cardinal programmes. In his words:
“On behalf of the entire members of Nigeria Football Coaches Association, NFCA ,Oyo State Chapter, I wish to sincerely thank the leadership of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF for organizing the career boosting programme ,CAF C Course for our female coaches. The first phase was a huge success and we believe this one also will be an improve on the previous.”
“Well, as part of the cardinal programmes of Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Oyo State Chapter, we have offered financial support to our members going for CAF C coaches in Abuja to help ameliorate challeges that may arise therefrom. ”
“Let me reiterate it here that capacity building for registered members is sacrosanct and giving financial support to our members going for CAF C is like fulfilling part of our mandates. We have been doing it and we shall continue to build on it so as to give succour to our members and build our members professionally “.
“While we wish them a successful programme, we emphasize that the Association will continue to invest in programmes that will advance the course of our members in our own little way”, he assured
All is set for the first-ever CAF C Coaching Course organized by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) exclusively for women, with the first module to run 15th – 25th July at the NFF/FIFA Technical Centre, inside the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja
