Apex Krane are champions of maiden edition of the Nwankwo Kanu Under 19 Scouting Tournament.

They defeated leaders of Owerri Group in the tournament, Campos Academy 3-0 in the final played at Enyimba Stadium, Aba.

Ekene Nwachukwu scored a brilliant goal in the 13th minute, putting Apex Krane ahead 1-0 at the end of the first half.

Campos Academy resumed the second half with renewed ambition, seeking to level the score.

However, Justice Chibuike extended Apex Krane’s lead with a well-executed free kick from 20 yards, following a foul committed by Campos.

Despite their efforts, Campos was unable to find a consolation goal, and a defensive error led to Nelson Sule scoring the third goal for Apex Krane, resulting in a disappointing outcome for Campos Academy.

Speaking after the match, the benefactor of the tournament, Nwankwo Kanu commended the players for their display of quality football through their stellar performances.

He promised that the second edition will be more colorful assuring that the talents discovered will be properly utilized.
