American Supreme Court has granted former US president, Donald John Trump immunity for ‘”Official Acts”.

This implies that Trump who is vying for the number one seat in America against the incumbent president, Joe Biden will be immune from some

The Chief Justice, Roberts wrote the majority decision on behalf of other solicitors while the three Liberal justices pen a blistering descent.

Recall that Trump was accused of encouraging a mob to take over Capitol Building in Washington DC on Jan 6, 2921 in an attempt to subvert the election result and following the Appeal court ruling that , the former president took the case to Supreme Court

Reacting to the ruling , Trump described the Supreme Court decision as a big win for the constitution and democracy

Also his legal team has hailed the ruling, saying that it us a win for democracy.

On his part, the US President Joe Biden said, ‘Immunity Ruling doesn’t change the facts”.

According to CNN analysts, the ruling may likely push back Trump election subversion case until after the November election, noting that the import of the partial Victory will be the expansive power of the president
