A delegation of lawmakers representing Anambra State at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly have hailed the state Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo for the projects and other infrastructural revolution going on in their respective constituencies, including the completed Mmiata road project.
The lawnakers applauded the Soludo for his resolve to build new Anambra Government House and lodge which had been abandoned for 33 years.
Speaking during the courtesy visit at the governor’s lodge in Amawbia, the member representing Ogbaru federal Constituency, Hon Afam Ogene appreciated the Governor for his developmental strides in the state on economy, road infrastructure, health, education, among others.
While expressimg their readiness to jointly pursue projects at the centre that will benefit ndi Anambra, the lawmakers applauded the Governor on the massive regeneration going on in Anambra House in Abuja.
In her speech, the mmember representing Awka North/S Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinwe Gwacham appreciated the Governor for running an inclusive administration, especially the appointment of women as members of his executive.
The delegation unanimously agreed that Governor Soludo has performed well and based on his work will be returned overwhelmingly.
The member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency, Dr. Paschal Agbodike in his speech charged his colleagues to endeavor to attract at leastvone capital project to their constituencies.
Responding,, Governor Soludo thanked the lawmakers for initiating the meeting, saying that he had held a similar meeting with the last assembly before he was sworn in.
While extending hand of fellowship to the Honourable Members to join in rebuilding Anambra State, the governor assured that he wiil continue to deepen the strategic relationship among all especially in the areas of infrastructural partnership and development, noting, “one people, one state, one agenda”.
The delegation include; Hon Peter Aniekwe – Rep Anambra East/ West; Hon Lilian Obiageli Orogbu – Rep Awka North/South; Hon Dr. Paschal Agbodike; Rep Ihiala; Hon Peter Uzokwe, Rep-Nnewi North/S/Ekwusig.
