As the NPFL MatchDay 35 encounter between Rangers International and their brothers Enyimba FC this weekend gets to a fever pitch expectations, the Enyimba’s Sporting Director, Mr Ifeanyi Ekwueme has  said that the game will be a show of good football and not a “do or die” affair.

Downplaying the intensity surrounding the game, Mr Ekwueme emphasized that Enyimba will accept the outcome of the game regardless of the result.

He however stressed the importance of a level playing ground for all teams and  the need for fair play and sportsmanship.

“We are going to Enugu to play a football match, not to fight a war. We will give our best and accept the results, but we demand a level playing ground. No team should be favored over the other”

The  crucial match could determine the fate of the league title. Enyimba have a rich history of 9 NPFL titles and determined to add another trophy to their cabinet.

Despite the high stakes, Ekwueme remains confident in his team’s ability to perform under pressure and urged all Enyimba fans across the country to rally round the club to emerge victorious come Sunday in Enugu.
